2008 Request Post

I'm starting to see card address posts, must be that time of year again (for head starts at least...)

deck_the_icons is an open community for people who molest manipulate icons for the holidays. We add santa hats, strings of lights, candy canes, snow, carol lyrics, candles, or any other object that turns your normal awesome icon into something super-awesome.

You can post icons you've manipulated.
- Specify if your icons are a gift for a specific person or if they are available for sharing with credit.
- Use an lj-cut if your entry contains more than 5 icons, 200 kb of graphics, or adult content.
- If you would like to help coell and the Icon Elves fill requests, please let us know!

If you use an icon from here, credit the maker.
- Common sharing etiquette is to credit the icon maker in the icon keyword or subject with "Made by ______".
- If the original icon was made by someone and we added something, please credit both. For example, "Made by ______, edited by deck_the_icons."

If you would like to make an icon request...
1. Comment to this post for a kind Icon Elf to deck your icon. We assume you want the one you post with, but you can also ask us to pick any one that would work best or inspires the best result.
2. Do you want something specific done to it or leave it up to us?
3. If you want a new icon created, give us links to the original picture(s).
4. Can we share the icon? Please tell us who made it so we can credit them. If it's just for you, do you want your name added in (if it fits)?

Profanity, nudity, sexuality, and other adult themes are permitted, though warnings and lj-cutting are appreciated. And yes, we can sometimes alter your animated icons too.

Deck the Icons 2005

Posts for 2005 have been deleted since the hosting for that batch has since been changed and we're too lazy to update the links. Hopefully you kept your copy -- or just ask for something new.
